amoCRM allows you to set up custom fields for the leads if needed. For example, when it is essential to capture certain specific information which is important to you.
How to add a custom lead field
To add of a new custom lead field go to Settings, then to the section “Fields”.
Choose "Leads" on top of the page and press the button Add Field.
Choose the type of the new custom field
Enter field name
If needed you can add a condition that this field has to be filled in when the lead gets into certain status. You can also make the field available only via API - it means that the field might be edited only via API and not manually.
Press Save button to save the changes.
You can always edit a lead field.
To edit lead fields go to Settings, then section "Fields".
Find the field you want to edit in the list of fields and hover over the upper right corner of the field.
Press Edit in the opened menu.
Make the necessary changes and then press Save button.
If a lead field isn't used anymore you can delete this field. Important! In those leads where that particular field was filled in, this field will also be deleted.
How to delete a lead field
To delete a lead field you should go to Settings, then section "Fields".
Find the field you want to delete in the list of fields and hover over the upper right corner of the field.
Press “Delete” in the opened window.
Then press “Yes” to confirm that you want to delete the field.
That's it! The field is deleted!
