Contacts field settings

There are situations when you need to save specific information while creating new contact. For such cases you can add a custom field in your amoCRM account.

To add a new contact field:

  1. Go to Settings (left menu button)
  2. Press Fields

3. Choose Contacts section
4. Press Add field button

5. Choose type of a new field

6. Enter field name

7. If needed you can make filling out of this field mandatory when the status of the lead is changed to a particular one. You can also make the field available only via API - it means that the field might be edited only via API and not manually

8. Press Save button to save the changes.

If with time certain changes happened to the parameter for which you created a custom field, you can edit that particular field.

To edit contact field

  1. Choose Contacts section to see all contact fields

2. Find the field you need to edit and hover over the upper right corner of the field
3. Click Edit button in opened menu

4. Make any changes you want and press Save button

If you do not use custom contact field any more, you can delete it. Important: the field will be deleted from contacts where the it had been previously filled in.

To delete contact field

  1. Choose Contacts section to see all contact fields

2. Find the field you need to delete and hover over the upper right corner of the field
3. Click Delete button in the opened menu

4. Press Yes if you are sure about deleting the field

 

Done! The field is deleted.
